Adequate Yearly Progress - NCLB report
Adequate Yearly Progress (AYP) is a formal calculation in line with the No Child Left Behind Act (NCLB). It is a yearly evaluation of how our schools did in regards to the Illinois Standards Achievment Test (ISAT). Please understand this document decides if we are or are not meeting the state percentage expectation as a whole and within subgroups. This does not give you a clear indication of our schools performance or your childs education. An example of this is one year we did not meet because we did not have the expected growth within reading for the special education subset. Upon our examination we were one student away. This report does not indicate how close you were within the subgroups only if the expected number of students met the mark or not.
